Mrs. Williams, School Counselor
Mrs. Williams has been the school counselor at Montrose for 12 years. She earned her bachelor’s degree in Social Work and her master’s degree in School Counseling from VCU. Mrs. Williams keeps busy spending time with her three sons when she is not at school. She enjoys watching her boys play baseball and vacationing in Ocean City, NJ at the beach. Mrs. Williams loves being a part of the Montrose community and providing support for students and families.
Ms. Henry, School Psychologist
Ms. Henry earned her BS in Psychology from Old Dominion University. She earned her M.S. in Psychology and Ed.S. in School Psychology from Radford University. She is a Nationally Certified School Psychologist through NASP. Before she became a school
psychologist, Ms. Henry worked with children in various settings including a dance studio, a child development center, summer enrichment and tutoring programs, and a company providing in-home ABA services. This is Ms. Henry's sixth year in HCPS and fourth year at Montrose Elementary School. She also currently serves Rolfe Middle
School. When she is not at work, Ms. Henry enjoys spending time with her family, playing with her dog, travelling, relaxing on the beach, and exploring new restaurants.
Mrs. McKenzie, School Social Worker
Ms. Baker, Family Advocate
Ms. Baker is the family advocate at Montrose Elementary. When asked what is one quote that describes her passion for helping children, Ms. Baker said “All kids need is a little help, a little hope, and someone who believes in them." -Magic Johnson. "I am that someone."
Ms. Eggleston, eRESET Coordinator
Ms. Abbie Eggleston is the eRESET Coordinator here at Montrose. She is excited to support students and offer a daily space to decompress and RESET virtually! Her favorite quote is: “Purpose is the essential element of you.” Chadwick Boseman, Howard University Commencement Ceremony, 2018
Ms. Jessica Evans, Positive Behavior Support Teacher –New Bridge Learning Center
Ms. Evans is starting her 5th year as a Positive Behavior Support Teacher at New Bridge Learning Center. She is a native of North Carolina, where she attended the University of North Carolina at Charlotte (UNCC), and received her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Sociology. For graduate school, she attended North Carolina A&T State University, and received a Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. Ms. Evans is a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Virginia and has experience working at community services boards, group homes, community-based mental health agencies, as well as halfway houses. Ms. Evans believes in: Providing peaceful environments to nurture children’s autonomy; operating in love to nurture children’s desires; and creating building blocks to nurture children’s self-esteem.
